Good shoot this weekend at TSC but they sure did have some problems with awards.

Problems with rangefinders too. One woman was caught sneaking peeks with the RF for her husband and telling him the distances. And two other guys were using them and were turned into the clubhouse. Fun shoot though. I got put into the bottom of the champion flight, made it kind of hard to get a shield. :P

Rangefinders where an problem.  I shoot almost every weekend and the range finder problem always comes up.  I don't use a rangefinder at any shoot but there are those people that shoot 3-d shoots just for hunting practice and fun.  To tell those guys they cant use a rangefinder is stupid.  We all want to have fun out there and it is not fun for someone to go out and lose a half dozen arrows or more.  I think if you want to use a rangefinder and not compete for awards have at it.

I see no problem with RF for that purpose either, but the few people at the shoot using them were competing for an award which I think is wrong.

I missed it and really wanted to go. I haven't shot a 3d shoot in awhile. Looking forward to shooting in a few this summer though! Whatever happened to the Pine Creek shoot? Does it still happen? That one used to be a blast. We always made a camping trip out of it.

I think they moved it to Lost Lake rd. east of Rimrock Lake.

on sunday the guy i shot with had a range finder. we were just out there for fun. i dont see a problem with having them for fun. i just think you shouldnt get a card if your going to use one. you could just say i
'm not turning in my card, use your RF then turn in your card anyway. it was definetly nice to have one in the group, with the range finder i probly shot over 300 whedn without i wouldnt have broke 260. it was ablast though. me and the guy i shot with were just goofing around. makeing shots longer. 81 yards at the moose and i 8'd it. easily the most fun i have had at a shoot. i'm getting a rangefinder...

This was my first 3D shoot and I had a blast. I'm hooked now. That moose target was cool.

81 yards at the moose? does that mean you were shooting off the sewer road? any other shot angle at the moose would of seriously been a safety hazard due to the shooting course.
