Hi, Fellow Hunt-WA members, I really hate to continue bombarding the forum with new product introduction. It hasn't stopped since last spring.
I apologize for spamming the site.
Here we go....
Zen-Ray Optics is pleased to announce that all new 2010 Edition ZRS is available for delivery through our retail network and our own online store.
The most significant improvement is the use of our proprietary VividBriteTM Dielectric prism coating, which delivers 99% light transmission over all visible light spectrum. Together with improved anti-reflection coating on the lenses, the new ZRS is well suited for birding and hunting under extreme low light condition.
2010 ZRS will come with 8x42 and 10x42 formats. Accessories include carrying ase, padded comfort neckstrap
Features:
VividBrite Dielectric Prism coating -new
Mg Alloy chassis to deliver long last durability and light weight design
Phase corrected
BAK-4 roof prisms
Fully broadband multi-coated optics allows almost lossless light transmission
Heavy-duty, 100% waterproof/fogproof construction: Argon charged
Metal alloy Twist-up eyecups
Large smooth center focus knob
Ergonomic shape for stress free use
Rubber armor absorbs shock
Diopter adjustment to fine tuning focus
Tethered flipdown objective lens protection covers
Soft carrying case

2010 ZRS 8x42 was sold out briefly. Now we have both models in stock.

Charles:
I love my Zen-Ray Vista binoculars. However, the plastic cap, which covers the small front threaded bolt between the two front optics has fallen off and I want to replace it. What's the best way to do this?

This may be a stupid question but I'm going to ask anyway.
Why do they weigh the same? My thought is that the 8x should weigh less than the 10x.... this is clearly wrong but why?

For most binoculars, the only difference between 8x and 10x in one model series is the eyepiece design. Everything else shares the same parts: objective lens, body chassis, rubber armor. Depending on the design, there is no direct correlation between weight and power. For ZRS, the 8x and 10x have same number of lenses inside. They have different focal lengths in the eyepiece group.
