Any reason not to camo ( paint ) a scope other than possible warranty issue? I see quite a few camo'd guns with scopes that are still black
The only reason I can see is fogging - due to camo paint not absorbing as much heat as the factory black - I think this is marginal though.

Took me quite a while to talk myself into it, but my scope has suffered no ill effects. I don't think Leupold would reject a warranty claim based on paint. By the way, these are both 8.5X25X50 Long range target Leupolds... Not what you'd call cheap.
