New Yote Hunter
« on: March 13, 2010, 11:57:21 PM »
Hey guys,
I am new to coyote hunting i live in washougal washington and i would like all the pointers and ideas of where to go i can get, don't know much about calling them either. I have hunted most my life just not for small game i primarily hunt archery for big game but Love my guns too.The yote in my pic was tracking the same deer i was and so i found him too and shot him with my bow at 25 yards. Good day for me.
Thanks

Welcome to the site! A yote with the bow-thats awesome! I'd say your best bet is to head east a bit. north of carson, white salmon, glenwood, etc. Clark co. has them but is mostly private unless you can acquire permission to hunt some farm land, not much left though. I live near ridgefield and see a few, but not many and it is firearm restricted area. Good luck!

Hey thanks
I actually live in washougal on 110 acres of private land my wife and i rent a mobile home. I need to learn how to call and the best way to conceal myself. I would like some advice on what is a real good mouth call, but fairly easy to use. thanks a ton for the reply

Full body camo, pants, coat, gloves, and face net. Don't bother with scent killer, they will smell you no matter what. Do you have a varmint rifle? .223 or .22-250, maybe a shotgun for your area. Any firearm restrictions in your area?
