Feral hog and Pig hunting.

  I have heard there are private hunting areas in washington in the Soap lake, Ephrata area, and around Cheney to hunt pigs. Anyone know where they are?

I met some people that were running a pig hunting operation YEARS AGO at a sportsman's show... They were HUGE pigs, but the prices were equally huge. I'm sorry, I don't remember where they were. Ruled them out when they told me the pricing. I remember it being over $1K.

we have had sevral talks about the feral hogs around washington and to save you some time we have figured they are like hunting snipe. the place said above is very spendy and a bit scary from what i have heard. i am working on somthing right now it will be a few years in the making but i am working on a hunting preserve here in washington that will have hog hunts also along with trophy ram hunts.

I've shot probably 100 or so wild hogs. CA, TX, HI, and Guam. The pigs they showed at the Sportsman show were feral at best, closer to barnyard in my eyes. Big money for what it was... These were a LONG WAY from a Russian boar....

What idiot would pay over 1K to shoot a hog?  Why spend 1K to shoot a stupid pig when you can go down south and shoot as many as  you want.  The airfare and lodging etc would be far less than 1K. Some  :dunno:people

Canyon Crest Hunting Ranch is not shut down.  They are very much in operation.  I know.  I called them last week for one of my clients that was going there on a hunt (not for hogs).

Clover Creek in Oregon also has feral pigs.  Nothing I would spend money hunting or mounting.  If I were going to pay I would go to CA, TX, AL, GA, LA.  You will find your russians in CA and TX mostly.  The southern states will have feral hogs.  They look nothing like farm pigs like these 2 places have.  Here is a photo of a 305lbs GA Wild Boar.  Not a Russian but better than a farm pig by far.

The more feral or Russian a Wild Hog is the flatter the face will be.  From the face to the snout.  Also the destance from the tip of the nose - to the back of the whet - to the front corner of the eye - to the "V" on the ear befor it goes into the ear canal - to the tip of the ear will be pretty close if not right on the the same measurment.

All this talk about wild pigs make me want to talk with my aunt about going to Texas and hunt there place
