is it legal?
« on: March 16, 2010, 12:49:59 AM »
is it legal to hunt predators out of a tree stand in washington.  i have never done it but it seems like a good idea.  out of direct sight and good field of view.
There's a place for all God's creatures...... Right next to the mashed potatoes.

Yep its legal.  You can also use bait for any predator except bears.

its legal...Please keep the site clean if its on public land...I come across a lot of bait sites and there are some real pigs out there...The public could really put a stop to that next...

Why wouldn't it be? I can't see them making a law that a person  can't hunt out of a tree. Only if it was put up as an initiative, then the voters of the state would probably pass it.

A couple of years back, I remember reading on another site that 10 foot ladders were popular for coyote hunting. Apparently the coyotes didn't notice a camo'd hunter sitting on top as long as the ladder was painted in a neutral color. A pain in the neck to carry in, but some guys felt it was worth it.
