Update on Washington Spring Bear Drawing results
« on: March 17, 2010, 12:26:34 PM »
I just got off of the phone with the Dept. of Licensing. Although they have in the past usually given us a date that we could expect to get drawing results, they will not do that this year. They claim that they don't want the customers to be disappointed if it doesn't happen on time. I actually ask her when they started being sensitive to us hunters and if they actually considered us "Customers" why would they not strive for Customer satisfaction. They closest to an answer I could get for a date, was they hoped the drawing would be complete by the end of the month. She didn't say what month either but I am assuming she meant March.

Awwww... bless her heart.  She doesn't want us to be sad when they screw it up, redraw, screw it up again, redraw, screw it up again....

...So, who will be surprised? :chuckle:

That may be your problem... you called the wrong department.    :chuckle:

Or did you think the DOL would know more than the WDFW?

Bobcat, it may surprise you to know that DFW also has a Licensing Dept. at least that's what the phone menu says :chuckle: :chuckle: I won't argue with you on whether they serve double duty or not  :dunno: she did say something about Tabs or was it Tags...   :dunno:

Usually when you refer to the licensing program at WDFW you do not call them the Dept of Licensing since the DOL has nothing to do with WDFW. All the different aspects of WDFW are called program, such as the fish program, habitat program, enforcement program, and licensing program. There are some states where you actually do get your fishing/hunting licenses from the DOL, but not here….

Thanks Markts, we are goofing around. It is in fact officially called the Licensing Division. the rest of the story is accurately stated per my call to the Division of Licensing   :chuckle: :chuckle:

Haven't drawn the last 5 or 6 years so why should I be thinking it would be any different this year...oh ya, I don't have any vacation this year.  Probably a sure thing.
