how does one go about hunting cougar in WA. other than dumb luck
Any animal with a bow is a trophy.               IAFF
Save a 1000 elk kill a wolf.

I have a friend that calls them in on the west side. He finds their tracks and or kill sites then calls them in. He says they will work on a cycle and traditionally return to the same area 7 days later. They usually have a large range of 50 miles +. Unless you have hounds, other than that you could search for tracks and go after them.  I am sure others have different ways and advice to give.
