5 Points......(mule deer or blacktails)
« on: February 07, 2008, 03:18:07 PM »
I've been wanting and wanting to do this, but haven't taken the time.  Huntphool, here it is.  The official 5 point thread.  This is for REAL five points, not those darn eyeguarded 4 points.   This thread is dedicated to those awesome 5 points that are out there.  Those that are shot, those that are in the field and those sheds.  I LOVE 5 points and seem to be what I shoot.  Heck with those 4's. :)

Huntinphool, why did you pass on that deer, just curious? We hunted very hard public and private land in Montana this year and never saw one quite as good as that on open land, covered hundred's of square miles almost every day.

Dman, it was not what we were looking for, his was nice but not wide enough and his mains were a little short. Probably only about 22" wide maybe 23"

Ok, here's mine...

This is the biggest 5 pointer I've seen in person up close.  This one has to be 200"+...

This is the double beam buck.  A neat buck.  He is a true 5x5 with his 5th being a 2nd beam.  One of my favorite bucks and very photogenic.  I got 100+ great shots of this buck.
