Damn, that picture just about made me sick.  Yuk.  I hate the little *censored*s.  We used to get covered with them turkey hunting in Missouri.  I too started using gators and spraying the crap out of my boots and lower legs.  Definitely helps.

Thanks for the heads up on the number of ticks in the woods this year.  I agree that the last two years we have been spoiled by the lack of them.  My first year turkey hunting we did not spray our clothes or have any repellant on.  On the way home the inside of my truck was crawling with them.  My Nephew Dakota Dave has thick hair and ended up with 6 of them embedded on his head!  

Just another reason for newbies to avoid the turkey woods this spring and take up golfing!!!!!

Yep, all you guy and gal turkey chasers ....... just hunt Easterns in tick-free Western WA this year and you will have nothing to worry about!!    You also probably won't have to worry about having your bird(s) checked by the WDFW.  Just look at the historical harvest numbers for the wetside!

Turkeys eat insects. This is why we let the ticks crawl all over us, to better our odds at having a flock come in... Sometimes you need to sacrifice for the hunt...

But what if you got to take a piss?  Thats when the vampire latched on to my balls!  .. I asked my buddy what do i do, he said yank it out.. Thank god  , it just latched on or it would have been ugly!!  I would have been doing this to my balls  ...  .. Tuck your clothes in is the only advise i have.. and Tick spray..
