Well boys we didn't eat these ones but I have had rock chuck 2 or 3 times for a wild game dinner or just to try them out. Back east we eat groundhog from time to time but most of you boys may be a bit squeamish about it. I've accually eaten alot of odd things throught the years like porcupine, raccoon, snapping turtle, and even ground squirrel.

when you say groundhog you mean woodchuck?

Yea ground hogs are also known as woodchucks. We ate them in Pennsylvania, and dad always pressure cooked them first, and then used italian bread crumbs, and flour to bread them then fried them up, and let me tell you they are really good!

Thanks! You know they really don't do well when you hit them with a 100 grain balliatic tip out of a 25-06 that I shoot, or from the 140 grain 7mm Mag that my son Brandon uses. We've got one picture that we didn't post of guts strung all over a couple strands of barbed wire, but didn't want to gross people out. That's why the leaves are hidding the missing heads of two of them! :chuckle:
