Washington mountain goat
« on: March 25, 2010, 12:00:39 PM »
This billy was taken in the Goat Rocks Wilderness Area last Sept. Not a huge goat but any goat in WA. is a trophy. ;)

Nice work.  It's gotta be fun when someone brings in something different...
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

I can't answer your questions. All I did was mount the goat. :chuckle:

I have hiked up into the area that it was taken. It's about 11 miles in and not a bad hike. But getting to the goats can be tough depending where they are.

You've got lots of time. Start building points in MT. Your odds are alot better there than they are here in WA. Happy birthday!

I don't know why getting a goat here would be any harder than any other state.... we have tons of goats, and plenty of nice ones.  We have better quality goat population than most other states in the lower 48.  I am not saying it is an easy hunt, but not any harder than anywhere else.

Okay, I understand, and yes, that is a great goat!  Congrats to the hunter!
