Two questions:

1. I understand the concept behind the points and the "mulitplier", i.e. 2 points = 4 cards in the barrel, 4 points = 16 cards in the barrel, etc. Going by this methodology, does that mean that my one point from last year = :bs:

2. What is max points? Are there only so many point you can accrue before WDFW says: YOU = EPIC FAIL?

Lots of people draw with one point all the time so, no, it doesn't equal bs. And if you had one point from last year and applied this year then you actually had two points for this years draw.

There is not a F&W cap on points. Max points means they have been putting in since the begining of the points system and haven't been drawn. Max is like 15 (+/-1).

Just adding to what billy said, there is really no such thing as "max points." People who have been building up points since the first year of the point system  (1996) say they have max points. But there are people out there with 25 points, or more, because they've turned in poachers, and that will get you 10 points.

That's why there's a general season. Three years isn't a very long time to go without drawing a special permit.

uh yeah, 3 years? haha! i been puttin in for 10 years for most big game tags. i had max points for bear, which was 5. i just drew my first permit in this state, a spring bear tag. i think im in the minority, but you got a while to wait i think....
