One to the boat yesterday near Kathlamet...  Pretty slow so far, water is hitting 48 degrees, so should turn on real soon if their great predictions were correct...  Notice the WVA hat for all you dog fans..lol couldn't resist - fished witha couple hard core UW fans yesterday....

So.....................Whats with the gloves? Is like an epidemic. The other day I was camping with a friend and I was getting ready to cook some steak so he threw me a pair of gloves.

Me-- What are those for?

Joe-- So you don't get meat on your hands.

Me-- WE'RE CAMPING!!!!!

Me--  Thats it Joe, that is your new nick name "Meat Gloves"

Nice fish, hope to see more.

BTW I'm just giving you a hard time about the gloves I understand that fish is not always the best smell to have on your hands all day.

Great fish, very nice.

By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Gloves work to keep your smell off the bait too
It's not true that I am good for nothing---I can be used as a bad example!!

Has nothing to do with my hands smelling bad.  It is all about keeping weird scents off bait and gear.  I swear by it.  It makes a huge difference for fish like Salmon that have an incredible sense of smell.  So many things get touch in the boat and they all have foreign smells - whether from the road spray it might have including oils, gas, beer, to whatever.  I have been doing since 1999 when I started fishing for Salmon in AK--now it is a mind set thing for me...  Plus blue-purple matches my faded WVA hat.....  lol

So, I guess I have to wonder - is this fish really legal??  If so, then why didn't you show the whole fish??   You only showed a partial fish - was it clipped???  Perhaps you shouldn't be so proud or you would have shown a picture of the whole fish - was it clipped or not??  Who knows??   I wonder!

I swear if i hear one more cry baby comment about a wild fish outta the water I'm gonna lose it! Get off your high horse, and act like a true sportsman. It's pretty obvious the fish is legal if you look close. I don't care how much crap I catch, i'll still admit to raising a fish a few inches out of the water in a careful manner, and returning it promptly thereafter. I am fully aware of the law, and also WHY it was implemented. And it was not to stop guys from snapping a quick photo  >:(
