Hey Dave, welcome aboard. My suggestion would be to stick around and post some messages, take notes on the ones you read and let people get to know you. Its possible but I doubt your going to get many bites coming right out and asking on your 3rd post, just my 2 cents.

Headeshot, I am sure you will be able to find someone with the similar hunting goals and commitments by the hunt. Welcome aboard.
Lets hear some good hunting stories?

Welcome board.. Hunting partners are always a hard subject on the boards. Some guys tend to have issues with posting for partners however in some case many people do look for someone reliable that they can hunt with and share the experience. What type of weapon do you prefer to hunt with?

Well typically I hunt archery, been hunting bows seasons since 14 yrs old. I have hunted both the washington and oregon coast for a very long time and am really looking for a good group or place to go on the eastside. I have hunted rifle a few seasons but all my luck has been while archery hunting. The blacktail in my picture is a bow kill, and the myspace animals are all bow kills as well. I am going to be hunting elk in the mt. adams area this year with my 45-70 and 300 ultra mag. Bear will be on the long beach penninsula, and dieing to go to upper east washington for mulies. I hunted the MILDRED LAKES area so am very versed in high mountian hunting but just want an east trip. Being the area is so big were do you start? Was thinkin colville area?

You might want to wait and see how this winter affects the deer on the east side before you make plans to hunt over there. This may end up being the worst winter kill this state has had in over 10 years (just my opinion.) Now if you're thinking of Colville, that's more whitetail country than mule deer. Head a little more west from there, say in the Republic area, and you'll get into more mulies.

Awsome Ihad an old friend use to hunt up around the boarder, said he would see tons of deer, mostly forks but some legals were around. I was reading into the republic area looks good with a fare amount of public land. Not to bad huh?

Good area if any make it through the winter. Worst one I've seen in that local for awhile. They are only able to get around in the moose and elk tracks, even low. Crows are getting fat up there and coyotes are loving it.

What branch of the military are you in? I have hunting around the colville, republic and oroville area. Have seen tons of WT and Mule in all areas. But like huntnphool said, stick around and take notes. This is only my second week on the this board. I have been looking for a site like this for a couple of years now.
Welcome.. Pete

ive been hunting the republic curlew area for years alot of public land and alot of hunters.deer get hunted hard in this area starting with bow season in sept. and on through muz. and modern firearm u need to get away from the roads and people to have achance at a decent buck.beautiful country but beware of where u step the locals by general season are usually wary of hunters and do not take kindly to tresspassers.last couple of years have seen alot of big 2pt. mulies so watch what u shoot.have seen where people have shoot 2pts. and left them. wish they would change to 2pt. or better to get rid of the big 2s doing the breeding.good luck on finding a partner and if u go to e.w. remember to bring good maps showing public lands kram

Hey Navy,
Retired E8 here we are hunting the conconully lakes during the rifle opener up high and way off the road concentrating on the draws that lead to water or remote stock waterers. Its mostly public land and not a lot of people, lots of game mostly muleys and occasionally we see a big boy. Would be glad to show you some of the country but would have to respect my hunting partners about actually joining us on a hunt.
