Staining antlers

I know this was a question before but can't find the thread. What are the steps to staining an antler to make it brown again? I have a nice matched set that I would like to stain and one big single.

here you go......
http://hunting-washington.com/smf/index.php/topic,4537.0.html
and shoe wax works well also, fills in those stubborn cracks......
remember with the stain to apply it in about 10 coat or untill you get the color you like....try with a really lite stain and theen repeat your steps every day....
this will take you a while because you want the prior coat of stain to completely dry......i recommend having patience with this if you want good results and maybe practicing on a couple other broken horns or sheds......good luck and have fun!
