could anyone recomend a trail camera?

i would like a fairly inexpensive one. is there any decent quality trail cams under $200?
any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The next step up Moultrie M40 (Flash) and I40 (Inrared) go for about $150 and have 3 times the battery life as the D40 and somewhat better pics. The Bushnell TrophyCam runs at about $199 and is much smaller in size than the others (More concealable) and has a battery life of up to one year. If your looking for the best quality for $200 I would go with the TrophyCam. If buying 2 cameras for $200 or less is more appealing than I would get a couple of D40's.

beware they could become addicting. You get what you pay for. Might want to make your own.

There is a jump in price when you go from regular flash models to IR (InfraRed) models.  The IR models do not emit much visible light when the flash goes off.  Whether or not a regular flash scares animals is debatable, but for sure the regular flash is very visible to humans.  I had one in the woods behind our house and I returned it after a week because my family kept complaining about lightning waking them.

The Bushnell Trophy Cam for $200 is a great all around model.
Nature. It's cheaper than therapy.
