Red X
«
on:
February 10, 2008, 07:24:45 PM »
I am having trouble posting a photo. All I get is the red X. I assume I am not getting the correct address or location of the photo on my computer?? I have tried a couple things, like the address of the resized photo in Picasa and not luck...as you may guess I am only semi-computer literate. Thanks for any tips.

you either need to upload the photo to a hosting site like photobucket and then use the direct link...
or just attach it if it is saved to your my pictures file by clicking below the additional options icon at the bottom of the reply screen
you are posting it like it's a web link, but it's not a web link.

OK..thanks. Under the additional options, what would an example of the string so to speak that would go there. The address of the photo I'm sure, but what might it look like? I am not sure what I am looking for, or where to find it.

as long as the pic is saved to your my pictures file on your pooter, click the additional options.
then click on the browse...up will pop a window with your "my pictures" file on it. click the picture, then click open.
the window will close, then click on post. you shoul dhave a picture there. try it and let me know.

different picture..lol, but I understand now. Thanks a bunch.
That is a picture of a small freshly dug bear's den. Never have seen a fresh one. Would have been a pretty small bear.
