2010 Montana regs in the mail
« on: April 02, 2010, 09:00:48 PM »
I opened the mailbox and had a big envelope from Montana FW&P.  Inside were a copy of the 2010 hunting regs and the 2010 Montana nonresident deer, elk, & antelope application.  I don't remember getting this last year when I did not get drawn.  I am hoping this is an omen that my buddy and I are drawing this year.  :IBCOOL:

Same here.  Got them last year, too, when I didn't get drawn.  Still will put in for a B tag so I can kill a doe.

No regs in my mail as of yet; maybe today?  Have one preference point, so hopefully will draw a big game combo license this year.  Has anyone done any research so far about elk hunting areas?  I used to hunt the Dillon or Seeley Lake areas, but everything I've read says that the wolves have pretty much ruined the hunting there.  Checking in to hunting the Units North of Big Timber, MT, since I've heard the wolves haven't had a significant impact there YET.  Anyone else ever hunt between Big Timber and White Sulfur Springs before?  Just looking for recommendations, since it covers a pretty large area.  Thanks, Dave
