It's just funny how someone that is retired, doesn't know you and is on the other side of the states knows so much about you... but let me just leave it at that so I don't rock the boat anymore... great lion; great pigs and by all means thank you for sharing your stories and pictures... you call it luck but you sure do have alot of it  :brew:

Jim..its all good...

The hunt is amazing and I suggest any bow hunter grab a flight to the south and get after em on foot!

What ya hunting on the east side?

I dont really have a great Turkey spot..ya gonna hunt birds?

Id love to pair up with a gun hunter and take my bow..that way its a easy decision who gets the bird...

let me know

and if ya ever wanna carry a bow to GA to pig hunt Ill talk ya on best I can!!

Anyone every double-dog dare you to take a swig of the maceration pot?  I'm guessing you probably have anyway just to see what it's like  :chuckle:

not sure about maceration water but Ill admit that more than once Ive caught myself inches from tasting the broth on a head boiling in a pot...hair on..brains scrambled...and a 1/4 cup of dawn added...still smells kinda good sometimes...not trying to be yar...Im serious!

pigs are a great hunt..everyone should try it....  and Ill talk anyone onto em thats interested in pigs in Georgia!!

Dave, how do you keep the ivory from cracking when doing the "cooking"?

umm just doesnt..guess dont cook it that long...but dont boil any more...its all maceration now..but its a more natural maceration...meaning i do it in a5gal bucket in the ga heat with a milk crate tied on top to keep animals from taking...   still switch out the water when needed...

Ive got 10 skulls gooing up as we speak...

several more ready to be mailed to me...

michelle sold me on it...but pigs are way tougher skulls than deer!!

They can breed really fast thats for sure.  I saw a show called "Pig Bomb" was really a good show about the pig problem in the south.
Pig Bomb - Unpicky Pigs

What is the process you use for degreasing and whitening after maceration?
