So here it is ready?    I am sure this will bring up much controversy but it is legit and in the books. measured by an official p&y scorer.

The winner with the closest guess is elkslayer with 190. It actually scored 191 3/8
The story

It was the last year that the Entiat  was open without a permit. It was the forth day of my hunt and after seeing alot of nice animals I was pressed for time because I only had one day left to fill my tag thanks to work obligations. It was a extremely cold but clear day. and after blowing many stalks on some other bucks I finally saw the buck I wanted. he was with about 15 does and moving away from me across a ridge about 600 yards away. As I watched I saw that they were being pushed by a guy at the bottom of the canyon. I watched them as they watched him. I made my move since I had the high ground. About 1 hour later I put myself in a place to cut him off and wait for him to cross my path. Well as every  hunt  always goes every single doe crossed at 15 yards but no buck. I started looking around and I noticed him just going over a ridge to my right. how he got there i have no idea. I moved my way over the ridge and noticed him bedded down two ridges over about 500 yards away. with the wind I had to go back the way I came and come back around to stay out of site and have the wind in my direction. This is where the story turns... As I was coming around to get on the buck I was walking the back side of the ridge and when I came over the finger this buck was bedded in a little valley. I saw his antlers and dropped to the ground. I peaked over the edge and looked at him intensely. It looked like he was sleeping. This was not the same buck I have been stalking mind you. I rangefinded him at 58 yards and let the arrow fly. He got up went down the hill and dropped at 100 yard from where I shot him. As I approched the biggest buck I have ever shot  the original buck I was stalking was standing 20 yards away from him and the buck I shot made him look puny.
Now the only problem was is that I was at least two miles from my truck and it took forever to get my friend on the radio. I finally got him out around midnight . One of the greatest days of my life. I contribute this deer to 90 percent working my ass off and 10 percent luck.  if you put in the homework and effort it is always gonna pay off. Thanks for the guesses it was fun..

Do you know what the mainframe scored and then the trash?  I was so off I'm really doubting myself.

That happens to me though.  I'll get on a buck that is big but I don't think he's that big.  I'll take a bunch of photos and then years later I'll finally pull them out and look at the buck.  Then I start to realize how big some of these bucks were and I didn't realize it at the time.  Then I kick myself for not taking more photos of the buck.

I wouldn't have guessed that if I would have drank all of Popes and Mrays beer.  I must have forgotten to multiply the inside spread by 3 or something.  Not much controversy if its official.  I'm ususally not that far off, definatly missed something on that one.  GOOD JOB!

Wow nice buck just did not look that long in the picture.  Not uncommon as everyone knows photos can go either way.

You know M-Ray, I have a study that says you actually drive better up to a .05 BAC...  I've actually presented it in court before...lol.  So, maybe there is something to the whole beer thing.  Two should put me at a .05 so yeah, a couple beers can help!  That also explains why I was so off in my prediction...  I wasn't drinking...

Great job man thats a smoker buck!  The more you look at him, the bigger he gets... good main beams, great forks, BIG basses, Nice brows, tall, some trash... I'd say his main frame with brows was around 175ish...  Great buck!
