Them things hit like a truck- I can't wait to get back out after them. I did get out once for halibut this year and got one that was around 15 or 20 pounds. Kinda small but we only caught 3 that day out of 7 fishermen so I was happy.

Nice bunch of fish.  If any of you can swing a tuna trip, DO IT!  They are, pound for pound, the fightingest fish I have ever caught.  And they eat well too.  Hooked one (yellowfin) about 200 pounds once with my spinning rod and 30 lb test, I am not sure it even knew I was there before I let it break off so it would not spool me.  Luckily about 10 people saw it hit my jig so I had witnesses.   :)

Nice fish  Tuna fight really hard don't they?
yes.   They're very strong and fast but I had a lot of fun.

Last year it was about the 10th of July when they showed off westport but usually around the 20th  All you have to do Rasbo is hope on board we usually stay out about 4 days I can guarantee you all the shark you want to catch and big squid at night. We hook a piece of tuna on and tie a 5 cent ballon on about 6 feet above the hook and let it drift out to the edge of the lights.

Very Cool!   8)
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
