This picture isn't working right but I wanted to share.  I was about 14 years old (now 27).  We use to go all the time back in MI with old recurve bows that we rigged with homemade reels and old arrows.  My grandma would smoke the carp up for us.  What a blast!  I might have to get back into it out here.  I shot that one right through the noggin. :IBCOOL:

I shot 100's of carp with a bear recurve in Wisconsin growing up. I used to stand by this bridge in my town and shoot carp 6-8 ft down in the water every shot. I really had the light reflection figured out. Anyone want to join me for carp .I know a few areas on the Columbia. The next month is prime time when they spawn.
We should have a HUNT WA carp shoot this Summer

In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Bought a good Bow from a guy in need. What would it cost to set it up for fish?

Awesome! I went a few times about 15yrs ago at potholes in the dunes. It was a blast! Is there any good spots on the Columbia or surrounding area near Wenatchee. I was going to try it at the Rock Island ponds after I lost 2 good rapalas to some carp while bass fishing. Then I noticed the sign at the parking lot saying keeping carp was off limits there.  :bash: I was thinking between Rock Island Dam and Vantage might have some good spots.

I will be heading out to Columbia in next few weeks for carp. Anyone interested can pm. Need some warm temps to warm up the water to bring into the bays to spawn

Best spot I know "near" Wenatchee is the lower Okanogan River.  From the Highway 97 Bridge upstream to the Monse River Road Bridge is really prime!
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.
