Buffalo Bores web site will tell you, neat place. But if I remember the only Revolvers they OK are Redhawks, Freedom Arms BFR T/C and now S&W, added a few years ago.

I've shot a lot of their 45-70, it's all I take to Alaska, and the 310gr-330gr .44 Recoil? Fn yes! 3 shots and it's break time.   :o

I would check with Taurus. I have a 41 Mag Ti Tracker, and I know that they aren't rated for the really heavy stuff. I have run some heavy loads through my 41, but not on a regular basis. I just don't think the guns are built to handle that sort of punishment for very long.

Taurus also lists recommended ammo specs in their manuals. For a 44 Mag they recommend a 240gr bullet at 1350 FPS. I found that info here http://www.taurususa.com/pdf/revolver-manual.pdf
