fish for the smoker
« on: April 10, 2010, 04:15:40 PM »
Went out for a few hours on a lake in E WA and limited out on trips in less than 2 hours. Very windy, but fishing was hot. Leeches and chronies used.

Smoking completed. Turned out pretty good. Had a few frozen steelhead from last few months too in the batch.

A secret lake between Ellensburg and the Tri-Cities and Spokane. :dunno:

Check the WDFW stocking schedule and  start fishing. There are so many lakes now full of fish hard to decide where to go. No reason not to limit out on any lake over here in E WA.  ;) ;)

Hint for you. Trout preferred a fast retrieve. First 15 minutes nada. Started increasing retrieve speeds and bingo. Of course every day is different.
