tough to get a pass through on small animals sometimes, they seem to go with the arrow

Good point, didn't think of that.

tell ya what , taste like giant rabbit,

they are strictly vegetarians,
debone it through the meat in a pressure cooker, this will help relax the meat,
you can do the same in an oven at 250 for 2 hours.
then pull it out, mix up some of your tasty BBQ sauce and pop it in the bar-bi placed on a sheet of foil 2 layers and keep rolling it over if you have a smoker even better let cook until it browns up good,
pull the meat apart and place on burger buns,
season it as you will to your choice,
sliver of onion or two,
 and walla
you've got some of the best tasting chuck around.

con grats on the shot,
as a kid growing up i spent many an hour sneaking there critters
usually popped them in the head though.

the  end

Here's a dumb question. Aren't those things protected? I was told you are not allowed to shoot them.We saw a bunch of those around Banks Lake last summer.

Reg's say legal for the yellow bellied Marmot.  Illegal to harvest Olympic and Hoary Marmot.
