Large Kapowsin Cinnamon. He saw me before I saw him standing between two trees at approx 120 yards. He just stood there looking at me for about 3 seconds and with two bounds headed up a small creek bed up a certain draw. He didn't even budge until I swung my rifle up. I have all of next week off to try to pattern this bear. Been hunting the timberlands since 2006 and this is my first bear spot. And no, I am no road hunter.

I saw one bear yesterday and one bear this morning.  Both times I was in my truck driving in to where I was going to hunt.  Bears dont seem to stand next to the road for very long.  I guess I know where to hunt know I'm starting to see them in the monroe unit.

Got some pics and video on Friday out in the Lincoln unit. It looked to be around 200# boar.
I didn't see one on Saturday, and I have alot of work to do today and probably will not get out.

I was wondering if you were going to share a picture of that....
I ended up going home to fix my tire, have not seen anything myself yet...
Saturday morning I was getting rained on, then came home and had the sun come out.
I need to plan my days a little different......
I have stuff I gotta do today myself, but might head back up there this afternoon........

Someone shot a Bear in Copalis on Friday.  Forgot his meat saw and went back in the next day and jumped another one.

Wow hogsniper!  You sure know that area better than I do.  I haven't even been able to find any sign.  Hurry up and get your bear so you can point me in the right direction.  ;)

Went out to Hancock yesterday saw two, 1st one about 50 yards away , he saw me and bolted no shot dang, dang. About two hours later jumped another one, he was standing in an over grown roadway,,, Got of one shot and watched as he bounded away un hurt. Learned a valuable lesson, those four foot tall alder saplings in the middle of an over grown road really mess up the flight of a bullet. Wont make THAT mistake again. Giving that area a couple of day break then I'll be back at em"

Went shooting in Oso on sunday and saw some hound hunters with a bear tied to the top of the dog box.

I was coming back from hunting today and saw the game warden towing the bear trap behind his truck.  I should have just followed him.  I'm sure he knew where one was.

You are not allowed to hunt Bears over bait!   :chuckle:
