My buddy went into my spot, and smoked an eastern at first light, then sends me a picture of it while i am at work!!  .. Dont ever take anybody into an Eastern spot or you have to deal with this $hit... Not happy!!!       I dont know if  I can even call him a buddy now!!  .. thats worse then sleeping with another mans wife!!    I would let him probably F my old lady before he jumps in my Eastern spot??    I have been buddies with him for 15 years, but this is F'd.. I said you better not be in My spot and he laughs and says ARE spot.. I said what ever F'er last time i take him anywhere...

I guess it is just a dam turkey but i just cant shake it off, I am pissed still..  Its an Eastern Spot... Dont take people to Eastern spots.. I have told People that for years and i broke my own rule and it bit me in the ass!!

I'm sittin' here in the office eatin' my moose and venison roast I did in a roasting bag with a little wine and flour along with a can of diced tomatoes and an onion, served over rice, totally enjoying lunch and then I open this thread.

Kinda took the edge off a great lunch. 

Not totally sure why but mostly 'cause the guy rubbed it in your face I think.  He could have said he was going to go out there and given you an opportunity to say Hey?  But he chose to send you a pic that would for sure piss you off.

Hmmm, friend or foe, at a minimum I would hope you let him know you're pissed and not try to keep your feelings to yourself.  All that would do is piss you off more without getting any kind of resolution if there is to be one.

Goo friends are hard to come by.  Maybe the guy just wasn't thiniking.

Back to my lunch, maybe I can salvage that.

That's funny stuff there! Sorry to hear about your "buddy". That happened to me with an Muzzy deer spot. Except my "buddy" took 2 uncles and 2 cousins with him. They killed 5 bucks that year. We haven't spoke since. The spot has been overrun with people that they have told.

Yea crazy $hit, when he said OUR spot i about $hit myself.. Oh well, i have more Eastern Spots but that was defineltey my ace in the hole.. Thats why you dont take people hunting, I am so so so particular who I take in the woods.. This is why!!    ..  I am really going to $hit if he ask me to take him Elk Hunting..  ..  That was my Saturday spot, and he just wacked my bird... If you hunt Easterns you know my pain.. A good spot is like winning the lotto, its not easy to find a good eastern spot.. THats why they call them Phantoms!! If we were hunting the Eastside I wouldnt really care as much, now i am just pissing myself off even more!! Happy thoughts, happy thoughts!! Ya trust me i know.. Confucius is right... I am a dumb ass.. Im wearing it!!    That was pretty much the only time i have taken a outsider to my spot and i will never again... This spot was in no mans land too, I discoverd gobbler $hit ridding quads way up in the middle of no where and went their that same year and wacked one, and its been pretty good ever since.. but now im SOL...  Oh well live and learn...

I feel your pain.  I've done the same thing with an elk area that I spent the summer hiking into and scouting.  I told a guy how to get there, where to start calling, everything, and he killed a bull.  I thought "great!"!  However, he next year he had a couple buddies I didn't know hunting in there, the year after that, the buddies had buddies, and so on.  Now he complains about the amount of people in "his" spot! 

I've gone hunting in other friends' spots, and I don't tell a soul; whether they care or not.  It's just a matter of etiquette.

I'll still take just about anyone hunting, but sometimes not in the "Honey Hole".  You live; you learn I guess.

I guess that would suck but I'm not sure why you showed him the secret spot if you didn't have intentions of him hunting it... Did you guys talk about it or did he just say screw it and he was going to hunt it?

Been there a few times with awsome duck spots.  I'd rather hunt alone than with a group.  Quality hunting is what I strive for.

you cant show someone your honeyhole and then get pissed when they use it. Just by showing him the spot you have permitted him to hunt it.

I tend to agree.  If you show someone your spot than don't be pissed if they start hunting it.  Especially on public land.  There are very few people that can keep a secret.

I tend not to show anyone my spots except 2 people that I know I can trust not to run there mouth.  Also both of these guys have there own spots that they like to hunt and they kill animals. 

If I am taken to another persons spot I do not tell anyone that is just common courtesy!  If I want to go back and hunt it than I call and ask.

ya %uck it im over it, i F'd up.. Oh ya word for word, it was 3 years ago he had no where to go, we played college baseball together and he was my roomate in college too..  we were buddies.. We both love Turkey hunting, he had know where to go so i told him he could come with me, I specifically said I NEVER WANT TO SEE YOU IN THESE SPOTS WITH OUT ME PERIOD.. Oh Ok Corey...  But my fault, i gave in and took someone and pow.. blew his wad all over me..   Im over it, its just a turkey.. its just a turkey its just a turkey its just a turkey its just turkey... Keep your fingers crossed that he doesn't take in another buddy today and he shoots one as well.  I had that happen in Lyle, WA a few years back.

I generally avoid this problem by not having any good spots.  Anybody wanna show me one?
