What Carbon?

Im going to start archery hunting again and was wondering what arrow I should throw at them theres so many different options and there all about the same price range and all claim to be the best  i was kinda of leaning twoards carbon express maxima  last I archery hunted was probably ten years ago my arrows were the easton game getter II's so any input would be great

You will get a lot of opinions on what's best.  Pretty much all of them are good.  You won't be dissapointed with the CX Maxima.  I also like Victory arrows and Beman and....

Bought some Carbon Express Rebel Hunters, do NOT get these unless you have a buddy to help pull them out of targets.  My bow was only set at about 60 pounds but the camo pattern, all the way to the tip, acted like ring-shanked nails when trying to pull them out of 3D targets.  They also porpoised all the way to the target from out to 40 yards even though they were spined correctly.

I like the Cabelas carbon Hunter 65/80.  I have had them shoot well from 55 to 72 pounds (31 inch 100gr tip) and they are on the lower end of the price spectrum.

I shoot the carbon express maximas. I like them, have not had any issues with them. In 2007, used same arrow on two different elk and one deer.

camo'd arrows will get stuck in the 3d targets. I learned this last year. you gotta cover the first half of the shaft with wd-40 or something like that.

I am shooting Easton ST Axis arrows with good results. next time they won't be camo.

Camo on the shafts helps a ton in blood color identification.  Black shafts give no clues without a long light-colored wrap and luck getting some blood on the vanes. 

A normal bar of soap will get keep the arrows from welding themselves into a 3D target, also.  Just rub the first 8" or so, and you'll be much better off.  Sorry I forgot that point when you came over 'Lope!

Nothing at all wrong with Axis or Maximas for hunting.  You get what you pay for with arrows, unfortunately.  The cheaper you go the less consistency you'll be able to achieve.

I shoot Easton FMJ and Goldtip Hunters. Both not cheap but are very strong and straight.

I have been shooting Easton Axis for a few years now.  I am happy with them.

I have the Easton Axis n-fused arrows and love them. Granted this is my first year shooting a bow but they have been great arrows and have held up well too allot of shooting.

Beman ICS hunters most bang for your buck IMO.

Beman ICS camo hunters. IMO the best arrows under $100 per doz. Plus they are made here in the U.S.A.  Carbon Express is made in Korea and Gold Tips are made in Mexico.

I'm shooting the Alaskan Grizzly Sticks out of a longbow.  They are awesome.

What gets used and wins in the Olympics?
There is a reason for that.
Choose your shaft spine carefully. A lot of folks make poor choices right off the bat (cost or poor advice) and then when they can't get good flight with braodheads, they have to buy stiffer shafts (more $$$$$).

I've shot cedar, alloy and carbon composite.
I shoot alloys again.
