Six saves?  Nice!

But it might be time for Lil' Bone to get her sweeper to get the rest of the defense in better shape and not allow the ball inside the box!   :dunno:

Lil Bone spent the first half as a forward and as a midfield, and she was instrumental at keeping the ball in front of their goal.  A couple key players were out, including ou best defense"man".  The goalie only had two shots at her in the first half.  One that went by her and one that bounced off the post.   Well.....they either had a pep talk at the half or the dynamics of the game changed.  Lil went into the goal and she had 20 saves.   I only caught a couple on film.  One was unreal, and I didn't even have my camera up.  Both sets of parents (both teams) cheered for her.  I don't know how she pysically changed direction in mid flight and stopped the ball, then had sense enough to cover it.  Tears of joy...hell I have them now thinking about her on the field.   Coach was infuriated with the team as they were all standing around.  He wasn't upset with the Lillers though.  He came and congratulated her, along with a Stryker coach that was watching from a distance.

I am shooting the 70-200.  Its the perfect lens for soccer.

Here is a series of Lil taking the ball from a gal and going to the goal for a shot.   Nice shot Lil' Bone

Nice shots, Bone.  I have a 70-200 f4L.  Is that what you're using?  Sure takes great clear shots.

I played goalie when I was a kid and loved it.  My daughter played goalie, because nobody seemed to want to.  I told her how much fun it is shutting down the house!  It used to get pretty muddy at times.

That's AWESOME bone. How does she like playing in goal? My daughter is 16 and has been playing since she was 7. She is the goal keeper for washington rush premier U-16. They won their last game (state cup quarterfinals) and play this Saturday in tukwila in the semifinals for state cup. It takes a certain type of person to take on the responsibilities playing in goal. Love to see it in kids. Congrats to your daughter. Soccer is a great sport for kids to be involved in.

P.S.  I don't play soccer with my daughter anymore........she's mean and laughs at me when I fall down.  :chuckle:    Good luck lil bone.
Just one more day

I always have my IS on.   That one was stopped.

Mostly what I am proud of her is her ability to play all the positions.  Most are competent at one or two.  She can go all out at all of them from defense to offense to goalie.  I love that about her.

a pass.......

Great pics!

My son just started playing last weekend. I didn't take but a few pics since I was filming instead, but it didn't matter, they wouldn't have turned out that well anyway. He was messing with the camera and change the settings to the lowest resolution. :bash:

Here is the original.

My little cousins have been playing soccer for a couple years now.  Here are a couple pics of my little cousin playing a couple years ago.....I think she was in first grade then.  I'll have to go to more games this year and get some more pics.  It's nice to see how much they improve over the course of the season and over the years.

May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.
