If you could have a dream Washington tag...
« on: April 18, 2010, 08:55:07 PM »
This is a totally hypothetical hunt... This time of year all the hunting i can do is dream hunting. My practical dream hunt would be a nooksack bull tag but if i could get a "dream" hunt it would be an August hunt for mulies in the Pasayten. Im just curious what impractical dream hunts other people have.

I'll take the mountain goat. Would prefer something up around Mt Gardner or Mount Baker. Just would be happy to knock down a nice billy and preferrably with the longbow.

The incentive tag was pretty *censored*. I would probably want the Elk version and hunt the blues during rut

:iamwithstupid:  Thats the only tag I really care about in this state.  Well, maybe Nooksack Elk, but goat much much more.

I have been doing a lot of research on Idaho and its crazy how many more tags they have for moose, sheep and goat compared to washington. They do have a quarter of the population but we have more "protected" area... we shouldn't have less then a tenth of their number of moose tags, less then have of their sheep tags and just over a third of their total number of goat tags. thats just crazy to me.

Oh and the new multi species tags are looking awesome but 16 to 20 bucks for a raffle is crazy to me.

But Idaho has moose over a large portion of the state, while Washington only has them in the northeast corner.
