Well...............
Finally home from the "last hoorah" bear camp for spring bear 2010.
First off let me thank Ed and Rick for doing everything in their power to help me tag out.
We had a great time and got some unforgettable memories from this trip.
Unfortunately it just didn't work out this time.  I am happy with my efforts and learned a lot about myself and about bear hunting. Also thanks to everyone from the site who was able to point me in some directions.
We were able to dial in a few very good spots and it seemed as if it might happen, but that's hunting and i cant wait till august.

Backwoods, you might have to get into the "camp cook" business.   Are you for hire?

Yeah it was a pretty good season.
30 days in the woods is always a good time.
Even if nothing is hanging.

It was a pleasure pounding the woods and trails looking for bears with you and Rick. I am happy to share the things I have learned about, as far as what to look for when it comes to bears and where to look. Most of the knowledge I have, I was able to learn from generous people like Rasbo. While I know and I understand I am truly still a rookie when it comes to hunting bears it was nice to share some of what I know and see it play out in the field. While we did not get a bear on the pole, we did find his tromping grounds and favorite trees. Close but no cigar!!!!!Nothing like diving head long into the thick brush and trees to find the deepest darkest moist places to hunt a bear and do it with good people on beautiful country. Your putting in the time Mike and you will be successfull eventually; it is only a matter of time, patience and a little luck till you bag a bear. Rasbo your lessons rang clean and true on this side just like in your stomping grounds. Thank you!

August can't get here soon enough. I look forward to the next adventure with good friends.

Just wanted to say this was a great thread to keep up with. Hunting is where we create the memories and shooting is simply where we create a highlight. The pics and storyline was great. Thank you for sharing your pics and overall hunt. Look forward to the next thread.
