Yes it was my grandpas first gun at the age of 18. Its a REM 721.  30-06.

Just wanted to say this was a great thread to keep up with. Hunting is where we create the memories and shooting is simply where we create a highlight. The pics and storyline was great. Thank you for sharing your pics and overall hunt. Look forward to the next thread.

sorry you didn't tag a bear but since we're 11 pages into this thing, let's see more of the food action!  You can cook in my camp anyday but you'll have to bike all that stuff in 5-10 miles

Dang, all that cooking could be considered baiting!!  "Honestly officer, I love my bacon really, really, really well done."  Did you check your camp for tracks?  Nobody went hungry I take it.  The Gorilla tape is a nice touch to hold those wraps together.

Good thing its almost dinner time, thats making me hungry!  Mountain house is about as fancy as we usually get!

well I'm pretty sure i know why you didn't tag a bear. eating like that every day in camp I'm sure you were farting from the tent to the mountain top all day long. they've got a pretty good nose you know?

I make time for good food. Plus those images are from the last 3 years of hunting.
