« on: April 22, 2010, 09:55:34 AM »
So what Lake are you gunna fish this weekend??

It's always chaos at the ramps and such but opening weekend is always fun.

I'm thinking I'll hit either Wooten Lake or Teal Lake on Saturday.  Haven't decided..

Good Luck to everyone!

I will have my boat in the water tommorow after noon also. A buddy of mine has relatives that live 2 blocks from the lake, so put the boat in the water and camp out at there place in the front yard. Do some drinking, bonfire, fishing at midnight.

I remember one year we fell aa sleep on the floor of my old boat. Threw a tarp over it, turned on the propane heater, and curled up on the floor (night fishing sucked). woke up in th emorning with a dusting of snow  :chuckle:

My biggest fish to date from mineral is 7.8oz.

Was going to Failor but have a funeral to attend instead.  I usually don't hit opening weekend anyway, I hate crowds.

I took my daughter to the fishing derby at Lake Wilderness.  It was a zoo fest but she had fun and caught her first fish.  Actually she did a helluva job and caught more than me.   :o

Went down to Mineral with Let.it.fly, had a great time. We caught 4 each but nothing real big. Maybe next time.

took a little drive out to failor lake this morning, didn't bother bringing the boat.  seen a few nice trout caught, but sloooooow.  couldn't believe i  only hooked 1 on spinners in 2 hours of fishing.
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun

Same at aberdeen lake caught our limit but really small. Only 1 decent fish over the wee-end waiting for crowds to thin then going to failor.

Went to conconully this weekend, fished hard saturday morning. caught and released a boat load of fish, limited the boat by 10 with keepers. Mostly smaller 8-12 inch fish but some dandy quality ones as well, reeling left and right and was a great trip.

Took the kids to Ft. Borst (first time fishing there)  They caught fish the whole time we were there.  The biggest was close to 20".  We wound up bringing home 10 that were hooked to bad to throw back and released at least another 10-15.  The kids had fun so it was well worth it.

Took the boys to Beaver Lake for a few hours this afternoon.  Didn't get a thing.  Didn't notice anyone else getting much action either.

mineral was a zoo as it always is on opening day. we launched at 330 am and there was already twenty or thirty boats on the lake. we all limited but no big ones. i hooked 1 nice fish, probly 2 lbs, and wild. lost it at the boat, i was pissed. if you were there we were the guys with the fire going on our 14 ft aluminum sea nymph. it was nice to have the heat from the grill.

so how did everyone do?
Opening day was crazy.  lots of 3lb fish caught and a few 5 to 7lbers.  yesterday was way slower.  I still released three 2-3lbers and saw 1 of the 5-7lbers netted before i left.  I thought i saw you out there yesterday, any luck?

Went to Clear Lake in Pierce County, lots of fun, Tasty Kokes.
We were out there on Sunday, and fished for bass. Caught one about 3 lbs, but saw a bunch of Coho (Not Kokanees like everyone thinks) chasing our baits.
The lot was full and we had to wait to get a spot to park, but the shoreline was empty for the most part.
