Also, I bought the combo deer/elk tag and multi elk permit but it didn't ask what weapon for my deer tag, anyone else have that problem?

You don't have to pick which tag you want yet. You can decide that later. I purchased the deer, elk, bear, cougar combo a couple months ago, and I didn't choose which weapon for either deer or elk. I wanted to wait until the regulations came out before I made my decision.

I heard they are selling like hot cakes this year, you all are CRAZY!  Just think between the multi-season tag($180) plus regular tag fee($18 I think) plus another $20 in application fees just for deer some folks will be paying 10 times to get their deer what average joe blow hunter pays.  I think the state has figured out a good way to capitalize on those who love to hunt.   :chuckle: :bash:

I've about had it with the money grab by the department, we are probably the state that is leading the way into the future, just wait till the other states figure out what WA has done then they will follow suite, so out of state hunts will get even more expensive.  They just took a clue from UT who opened up all species to NR to apply, instead of limiting it to 2 adn then they just watched the $$$$$$$$$$$ roll in, kind of like what WA is doing...........

No question that it's a bunch of money, but these are the current rules and prices.  Steep price of admission.  For me, it's worth it.  Another week in the hills hunting with my boy.  That's priceless.
I can only hope that the money goes to the right use.  And that the money grabbing instead of proper game management gets fixed.

If you can get more time with your boy in the woods, then its worth it.  As for the money grabbing getting fixed.....dreamer!

I agree time with the kids is priceless, but I think a large amount of people that buy these multi-season tags are just so pumped at finally drawing something they willingly fork over the $$$$$ without realizing they probably won't get their moneys worth out of it.

Can't say I blame them.  I'm glad I didn't draw it.  Saved me a bunch of money.

I bought my deer tag.  I will get two more weeks in the woods, well worth it.  Not to mention the scouting time if I can't get close enough with a smoke pole.
