Its not. Im headed up Friday to get a feel for the area and start my hike on the first. Ive never been there and just wasn't sure what to expect.  Ive put over 30 miles in my area on the gps and no elk sheds yet. lots of elk but no sheds.  Was hoping to score a couple there.  Ive had a great year for deer :tung: but just cant seem to find those elk horns :bash:, any suggestions?

Well I hope those guys smiled real pretty for the camera's.  They have been in place since the end of Feb. and Enforcement gets updated pictures daily.  Last I heard they were going to start a Wall Of Shame and post their pictures.  A little public embarrassment serves them right.  Every year more camera's are placed to catch these nimrods.

I say go give it a shot. You never know :dunno: Those idiots that are sneaking in there at night have got to miss a few. I myself like to go a little more off the beaten path... but to each his own I guess. Good luck!

You will probably have to travel farther to find the sheds with the mild winter, the elk headed back sooner then usual.

Good Luck

I talked to a buddy that lives up that way. He told me that Sun midday he saw a sheriff escorting two guys cuffed up down of the mountain. I was glad to hear that. He also said they raised the tresspassing fine to $2,000.     I believe they need to take away hunting privileges on top of the fine.  The first few years I went up there (6-7 yrs ago) I would find 7-10 sheds in there on the opener. Then all the guys started sneaking in there and now I'm lucky to find one shed in there on the opener.

feeding areas why look there it'd be like stealing candy from a baby. i'd rather work my butt off for them and in the end i'd appriciate the horns alot more nowing they were hard to find.  :dunno:
