Marlin 795

I bought a used Marlin 795 about a month ago. When i got it out to the range last weekend it shot waaaaaay right. There is no apparent windage adjustment for the front sight. Any ideas on how i can fix this?

All I can think of is to have the barell checked for straightness, maybe make a new rear blade, or notch the one on it now..

Maybe you could just scope it up and there might be enough adjustment within the scope to get sighted in.

I thought about scoping it but it's for the kids and i want them to learn proper sight alignment before i give them the cheating tube.

I will try tonight. The rear sight is dove tailed and I will try adjusting that as mentioned earlier as well.
On a separate note why are spare mags for these things so expensive compared to other 22's?

you could always rest it between to saw horses and slightly bend the barrel. just make sure you bend it in the right direction.

I'm not looking to do any barrel bending... not sure that's a bright idea. I will be trying to adjust the rear dovetail this weekend though. Ill let you know how it works out.
