So much for turkeys...
« on: April 29, 2010, 09:21:11 AM »

I went out looking for turkeys for a couple of days. The first morning had two toms within 60 yards....I never did see them. Birds have been pretty quiet this year....as some of you know.
Day 2 decided to look for some antler action.....since the bird hunting was not what I expected....That worked out pretty well!
Saw a couple sets of bear tracks and a nice smallish black bear with a great jet black hide.....

That is cool. The bear about stepped on that pistol :chuckle: Nice find. Thats about all I have from my turkey hunting so far as well. Minus the pics, the bear tracks and moose shed, and the turkey egg!

Nice pictures. good looking moose shed. Do you have any front views of it? Is that a little drop point off the front forks?

Here's a frontal view... the pics are kind of soft.
Not a huge bull by any means, but it is very unique.
