Wondering how many people put in for the 2nd deer tags...

I did, but only for a point. Don't have the time or extra money to drive to the eastside this year. But I might want to try for one next year, so figured another point wouldn't hurt.

There wasn't much for westside permits for muzzleloader tags. If I had a rifle tag there would have been a couple I would have been interested in. But for muzzleloader it was mostly just for islands in Puget Sound.

I do every year. I kind of wish that it still went with all one deer category, cause personally, I would just as soon shoot a doe as I would a buck. Now everyone and their mom is gonna put in for this.
At least I can put in for the buck/quality hunts.

I voted Yes even though I probably will not hunt myself in Washington this year my wife will so she is putting in for a second deer tag.

I did. Hope I get drawn too. I feel the need to take a doe with my .44.

I'm going to. Do you think I will have a chance with 12pts?
. It may be the FIRST tag I ever draw since I started applying for deer 11 yrs ago. I've also been putting in for elk for 4-5 and not yet drawn, including putting in for cows the last 2 yrs.

I would say your chances are fair.
But since you've NEVER drawn a tag luck may not be on your side.
Good luck.

Yes, for the islands, that's why I have no points to put in for all the other categories
I've chosen to go for the 2nd little deer versus trophy opportunities. This new system is good for me that way, I just wish people would have had to pick ONE category to place their existing tags into.
