Weekend in the Lincoln Unit
« on: May 02, 2010, 06:18:26 PM »
Was out for Spring Bear in the Lincoln Unit this weekend.  Ran into Bearmanric and StickandStringBow at Rainbow Falls Campground.  Both really good guys.  Got a couple calls from Bearmanric.  As for the hunting.  I saw a few tree peels from bears.  Two were fresh, the other was probably last years.  Lots of the small trees had been stripped by porcupines.  Saw several piles of what I thought to be coyote crap, but after talking to bearmanric it seems a couple may have been from cougars.  Also saw several deer.  As for the weather it was wet and very windy.  Anyone else seeing anything in the Lincoln?

Sat last weekend out.  Plan on being back this weekend.  Hoping to see a fresh track with something in it :yike: Might bring a guy who hasn't hunted, but wants to come along for the ride.  See if I can spark some interest :dunno: :chuckle:

Yes.  We drew as partners.  She is going to be in Hawaii for a few days, so is sitting this weekend out.  It was a tough choice which she made a little to quickly for me :chuckle: :dunno:  I'll do what I can to get another hunter in the ranks. ;)
