Everything in Germany is private land. We paid a certain amount of money to the forester so that we could hunt there whenever we wanted for the next year. No other fees unless we want to buy the meat and we always get the trophy.

That's what I thought, same in Austria, did you have to complete the hunting class?

lieser bitzen didnt stick when i had her drag it out of the brush so i could field him up.  I didnt give her a shutzen bruchen because i thought the forster should do it.

yup. i finished the class in november 08 and angel face finished in april 09.
"Right now, I am thinking that If my grandmother was here, she would be lecturing me about how there are poor people in Africa, that would just love to have a Ruger, I would just say "Great, granny, lets just ship all the Rugers to Africa!"

What caliber rifle did she shoot it with? Cool looking buck! Congrats! Sounds like a bunch of fun!

I still like it here much better, since our licenses and tags are cheap.
Been there, done that... In Europe - take any place - hunting and fishing is regionalized per one unit (river, lake, forest). You pay to the private party, a landlord so to speak, who manages the area - to have a privilege to hunt. Part of the fee goes to the State, of course. So, you have to be really rich to have some variety of hunting and fishing.
Roe deer is good eatin' too.

Test wasnt too bad. We had 60 class hours and lots of study time.
