If I still had a tag, I'd be there tomorrow at that price!  Looks to me like the cost of the lodging and meals pretty much easily eats up the $200, and the hunting and advice part of it are free.......... :dunno:  Your phone should be ringing off the hook!

Thanks MtnMuley, times are tough though, not near as many people hunting as most years. Just hoping we can get a few more turkey hunters before season ends.

If I had time I'd be over there at that price! Great deal, bearpaw! Don't think you could beat that unless you slept in the truck and ate from the cooler...

Carpsniper, not quite sure what you meant with that. Even if it means I make nothing on a few of the hunts, I figure it's better to make the sales and take care of the leases and keep my guides working.  ;)

Thanks carpsniper, we don't watch much tv so I didn't know what you meant.  :)

Thanks Buckhorn2, I have been selling a few hunts, just trying to keep the cash flow at a certain level to make everything work. My fingers are crossed hoping the economy gets better again. We are thankful we are still operating, not everyone is that lucky. I really feel sorry for the guys who have bought outfitting businesses and are still making payments on the business. Some are losing their butts just like folks in other businesses that are failing.

I am not the only outfitter discounting hunts to get them sold. If anyone has ever considered a hunt and can afford to go, this is definitely a time to get good deals for what ever you want to hunt, in any part of the world.  :twocents:

UTAH PRIVATE RANCH MULE DEER
I have 4 mule deer hunts available on a 13,000 acre ranch in northwestern Utah close to Nevada and Idaho. Season runs Oct 1 to Nov 10. Most hunters shoot 16" to 26" bucks, but the ranch has produced a few 30" bucks. We normally have 90% to 100% success on the guided hunts. Depending on their ability, unguided hunters have been anywhere from 0% to 100% with probably about 60% success overall. I will attach some photos of mule deer we have taken on the ranch.

This is a fun hunt, when I hunt the ranch I normally spot 50 to 100+ deer daily and have seen a couple dozen bucks in a day, but I would say a half dozen bucks per day is about average. It's open rolling mountains and canyons with brushy pockets and one end of the ranch has heavy juniper cover. We have the best luck spotting the deer from a long distance and planning a good stalk. Another very effective method is to make drives through the many small brush patches. I took $500 off the price of these hunts for this week only.

http://bearpawoutfitters.com/utah_mule_deer_hunting.html
Guided 2x1...was $2950...this week only $2450
Unguided.....was $1950...this week only $1450
