I tried to make her the most comfortable as possible.  As soon as we located the elk, I built a fire so she could keep warm while I went to cutting.  A big storm was looming in and teh wind was cold.

once while we were dressing out a buffalo in the winter it was very cold so we built a fire and then while skinning, we cooked the heart on a make shift grill over our fire and had our fill before we were done skinning!

For me definately killing my first Bull a day before my 16th birthday huntin' with my Dad in the Colockum.  Those were the good ol' days......

When my wife shot her first deer.  We do not have kids, and I can only imagine how much fun that would be.    My wife shot a 23" 4 point Mulie up in the Usk area the first year I moved to Washington, and that was her first year hunting.  Cutting the tracks and getting her on that buck was way more exciting for me than it was for her.  I think she was more excited about how happy I was then she was about her first deer.

i am going to have to say when i took my little brother out after he was drawn for a youth doe tag in the mudlake area when he was 13 and i was 17, the hunted ended with him filling his tag, the joke was he was aiming behind the shoulder and drilled it in the side of the head@ 30 yards.....with a 30-30

When my kid shot his first bear at 10 and getting his picture into the Alaskan Hunting Regulations, his first moose at 11, and finally his big bad Bison at 12.....  All too cool of proud moments...

Mine was two years ago when I was furtunate enough to draw one of the Green River A tags and I took my 82 year old mother with me. We had more fun than you could ever imagine. I've hunted all my life and mom never did go with my dad and I. We spent three days in the watershed and on the third day I shot what ended up being the biggest buck taken out of there in 2006. When that buck hit the dirt I don't know who was more excited, mom or me. But since then she has mentioned on more than one occasion that it sure would be great if I could draw that tag again!!

My proudest moment would have to have been this past archery elk season.. My dad has been hunting for 45 years and turned 60 this last august and kept talking about how he had always wanted to kill a 300 bull! Then on the 2nd day of archery elk season, well it happened! grossed 333 1/8 and netted 328 2/8. It couldn't have made me happier to see him experience that!
