nice way to catch the bird.  How long did you stay there before the bird showed up, or was it a spur of the moment thing??

We spent the day at my gramp's house this weekend and took both of our camera's as they have a ton of feeder's. These were just a few of over 600 pic's we took that day. There were different kind's of birds in the fountain all day.

Cool,

I have three feeders in my back yard, and a hummingbird feeder in the front.  My favoirite is the yellow birds that show up from time to time.  They are very shy though and fly away when i get close to the window.  While the finches are so tame I could almost pick them up.

Great shots.  I saw/heard my first hummer yesterday and caught site of a tanager in flight as I let the dogs out this morning.

Sure signs of spring, thanks for the pics.

Thanks, the Pileated is one that keeps eluding me. I almost had one up at Tiger last year, was just focusing and he bailed. Very tough bird to get focused on, always moving.

Still sorting through them, but this is one of the better ones, this guy was so tame I thought he'd end up in our laps.

Anyone notice the band on the grosbeak's leg in the last photo? I didn't even realize myself until today. I wonder who would band them?
