good pics dman,I get those here,and the occasional pileated woodpecker.The towhees I love to hear them whistle in the am and scurry about the ground.

Great shots.  I saw/heard my first hummer yesterday and caught site of a tanager in flight as I let the dogs out this morning.

 Thanks, the Pileated is one that keeps eluding me. I almost had one up at Tiger last year, was just focusing and he bailed. Very tough bird to get focused on, always moving.

 I've recently been invited to go shoot an audabon bird count, gramps leads the counts locally, looking forward to it.

 Anyone notice the band on the grosbeak's leg in the last photo? I didn't even realize myself until today. I wonder who would band them?
