So how do we know it was a  hybread wolf?
Not just a junk yard dog turned loose in the wild?
Or an oversized coyote?
Not trying to be smart mouth, just trying to get a good picture of what you killed.

No I didnt take the shot, it was no yote, I know that for sure, and if it was a dog, it was no type I have seen.  It had long lopeylegs like a wolf, and the same body build, but was compelety tan all around.  I know that out where I hunt there was a jerk releasing them into the wild along the skagit river, and maybe it was one of the them.  Yotes dont get that big or have the long legs like the one I saw, and there is always some white on them.

Well I ain't claiming it is or isn't .... just its awful big to be a yote.... and it wasn't no dang domestic dog... (?)  But the State says there aren't any wolves over here yet... so must have been a yote!  First print is from up in the nooksack... 3.5 miles behind the gate taken yesterday.  The 2nd is from Clover Springs area last December...

If it was near Sedro I've seen wolves  there... almost killed the damn things thinking it was a coyote.... It was late buck a few years ago at my brother's plce near western state... It was foggy and i heard some rattling. I thought i was gona fill my tag and watch 2 bucks duke it out... Well it was a big 6x6 and a rag horn 4x4 fighting in the fog... after they were done fighting i put in my elk call and harrased the bull for a while... The fog was moving through the trees  and under the pwr lines so i thought what the heck i'll see how close i can get.... The fog drifted through in waves where you could only see 40yds then you could see several hundred.... so i snuck up close and all the elk sounds stopped.  I snuck out in the next patch of fog to a small alder growing under the line and waited.... 4 of the biggest damn coyotes i ever saw were coming straight at me. I put my 06 right between its eyes and squeezed of a 165grain trophy bonded bearclaw..... I gave that thing the closest hair cut it had ever had. It was at 100yd and my 06 was zeroed at 200yd.... well they scattered, and i figured i's try and yelp em back into shooting range with the elk call. Well a REAL coyote cam out about 50 yd and i was so damned suprissed i missed that one 2.... Thats when it dawned on me the 4 were blueish grey and bigger than my 80lb Chessie, and that little coyote was brown and light and maybee 30lbs... Hmmm... The only reason i tell the story is because i missed.... I have pictures at my brother's place and on the northern state Park site of wolf tracks.... They are here and they are fricking huge

I forgot the name of the nut out there on the river that was raising and releasing wolf hybrids out there.  It was big news and a lot of guys got to hunt them.  Probaly a bunch of them left over??

I saw a hybrid down in Olympia the other day.  Almost ran into a telephone pole watching it cross. Wasn't sure what to make of it, being in the city like that.
