went for a drive/short hike yesterday
« on: May 10, 2010, 09:12:43 AM »
so yesterday i decided at about noon that i needed to get out and go to the hills. headed out to the skate creek road since i know the area, headed up one road and got blocked by the snow. so i decided to hike down into a creek bottom but couldnt get all the way down due to snow.

so i hiked back to the truck and decided to drive some lower roads to see what i could see. and i found this laying along side the road and just down the hill.

after finding that i decided to head into packwood so i could see some live elk. well sure enough there they were laying all over peoples yards.  :chuckle: after enjoying packwood i decided to head down to randle to check out the 25 rd since id never been up it and i want to learn some more areas. got down there went up the rd saw a car completely flipped over into a farmers field, then got up into the hills. man that area is great! i didnt even get that far up the road (about 10 miles) but it is some gorgeous area.

on the way up the 25 rd i saw 4 deer crossing the road. they stopped and let me get some pictures once they got into the bushes.

on the way back down i stopped to take a picture of the cispus river.

on the way out through the valley i saw these 3 elk far out in a field.

all in all i saw 110+ elk from packwood to eatonville and 6 deer. it was a great day!!!

Happy Hunting and Fishing
