Kapowsin, a great place to be this spring.
« on: May 10, 2010, 07:28:20 PM »
I Had another fantastic few days up at Kapowsin. Thank you Rasbo for all the hospitality, discussions and pointers. You are a true sportsman; you are so selflessly willing to help others have success on they're hunting adventures. I appreciate you taking the time to help a fellow sportsman out. Thank you again!

Awesome, I can't wait. The Admiral has given me a free pass through the 15 of June, I just have to work out the details with work. Great news about the sign!

By the way I believe we were both picking our selves up more than once... :chuckle: Those damn leprechauns keep grabbing my shoe laces.

if the skull on a redtail hawk is layered it looks like it could match the front plate

It has been a great time!!!

Rasbo, my sun suggested it might be a duck or goose skull. What do you think about that guess?

not sure the size of the flat spot puzzels me..If ya look up redtail hawk skulls see if it looks like the foremost part..

Post up a picture of the skull, I wanna play!
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

I am having withdrawls, I need to get back in there. We're having more fun than should be allowed. Rasbo, those areas we found are loaded and I think they are going to produce for a while. I am hoping to be back out there this weekend....    Shopping list is filled... By the way, you get around with a bad leg better than most motivated people with two good legs.  Leaving no stone unturned usually pays off with success, even the wet ones... :chuckle:

Honestly, I am having so much fun and seeing so much wildlife and so many great areas that I know I will have made an honest effort and had a great hunt. Not to mention how much I am learning. I do believe there is a great chance of putting some meat in the freezer though and am crossing my fingers. However, thanks for the motivation ... :)

Rasbo, remind me and I will leave one with you for a while next time I am up there. It is an older version of the Rhino 530 but it is pretty good. Biggest down fall on it, is that it does not have the ultra sensitive antenna for the GPS signal but it does OK. I will make sure and get the maps loaded on it.

Where there is poop there is bears...
