Whata you think??
« on: February 19, 2008, 09:04:51 PM »
So here's a nice little bull my father killed in 1995 in Arizona. He had some guy do a european mount on it the guy did a horrible job!It had skin all over it.Then the guy spray painted it white, needless to say I finally decided I should try and fix this thing. It kinda means alot to me cause this was the frist and last bull he ever killed. My father was murdered in the line of duty in 2004.He was a sheriffs officer. So when He died my mom said I could have it and I decided last week after looking at it that it would be fitting to give this elk some proper care.I gave it some chemical treatment and polished the horns. The before picture not the greatest but its all I have.So here they are:

Before:

After:

So my attempt at taxidermy :)

Excellent job, I bet you will treasure this forever. Sorry for your loss. Sounds like a great experience spending the time to rehab the mount while thinking about your dad. What a great tribute to your father. Good Job!

Very nice job.
