I spotted this one accross the canyon....

I was bout to come up on this one when my buddy radioed .... "Theres on in front of you a few yards!"

I've only run into Rattle Snakes on 1 hike - it was over a sloped  & sunny, little rock slide area - I guess they like being able to go in & out of the rocks. Once I heard the rattling & saw him I jumped like a pogo stick out of there. Since I have considered getting the snake guardz but have not yet,

 Again - great finds!

I'm a snake hater too! Last time I saw a rattler I stotted up the hill like a big ol muley buck on the get away :IBCOOL:...I was practically stepping on it!!!
